Now, more than ever before, professionals need to use every positive advantage to become successful. Gone are the days of building relationships over time. In today’s world first and lasting impressions are made in fewer than seven seconds. Professionals cannot expect the benefit of the doubt if they do not dress as well as their colleagues, or do not have good table manners, or cannot manage email or other communication in an appropriate and timely manner. Competition is fierce so knowledge and experience must be paired with an appropriate and professional image and manners to convey the confidence and expertise customers expect. Nothing less than excellence will do.

Participants will learn:

  • Overview of the power of attending to personal appearance from head to toe, including aligning clothing and accessories with the standards of your profession
  • Review the most important body-language areas: handshakes, eye contact, posture and sitting and facial gestures etc.
  • Telephone etiquette, electronic communication, making introductions, and handling meetings
  • Overview of how to conduct oneself during business dining situations and conferences
